Developed exclusively for Mac computers, Elements CRM is sleek, user-friendly CRM for Mac software that offers an array of rich features and management tools. The software boasts itself as "part cloud, part desktop." This means the application runs on your desktop but the information is accessed online, much like iTunes. Handily surpassing much of the competition, this Elements CRM earns the TopTenREVIEWS Silver Award and is a versatile and secure option for both business and personal users.
Elements CRM has all the features Mac users could want in CRM for Mac software. Each feature is conveniently and logically organized into umbrella categories listed in the left sidebar of the software interface. The app has all the standard categories including contacts, mail, sales and marketing plus a few extras. For instance, the "In/Out" category is an all-inclusive time management tool that allows you to generate time sheet reports, check in and out of meetings or shifts, and create customized time sheets for clients and projects. We also liked the inventory category that tracks and manages product inventory, purchase orders and vendor information, making it an ideal solution for Mac-based retailers.
Since Elements CRM is developed specifically for Mac, the software is far better than any other CRM for Mac product we reviewed when it comes to integration capabilities. Under the email tab, the software offers seamless email integration, enabling all email communication between you and your clients to be automatically recorded within the system under that client's specific contact information. In a similar vein, the software has complete amalgamation with iCal (Mac's native calendar app) and the address book on your Mac. That way, whenever you add a new contact to your address book or event to iCal, the software will automatically sync to include those new additions. Also worthy of note is the software's full mobile feature that enables complete access to your dashboard from your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
A few other features we find highly useful are the messages and finance features. The message feature is an effective and easy-to-use internal messaging function that allows you and other users to communicate via the desktop interface or a synced mobile device. The finance feature gives you complete control over your finances, from daily transactions to monthly invoicing. Not only can you process credit cards and generate statements through the software, it also syncs with third-party finance applications such as QuickBooks or AccountEdge.
The CRM for Mac software has an admin tab were administrative users can create and apply rules to filter data and completely customize the dashboard.
Security is very strong. Your data is protected by 256-bit encryption.
Elements CRM is just as multifaceted in regards to its contact information as it is in terms of features. the software has all the contact information details we seek in top-notch CRM for Mac software. Under a single contact page, you can add a contact's standard contact information, company website, location with map directions and any other information you deem pertinent through the available custom fields. That being said, we did notice a few drawbacks in this section. First, we weren't able to find a way to link acquainted contacts that weren't under the same account or company. Second, account or company contacts were accessible only under sales (contacts housed personal contacts only). While this didn't hinder usability, the setup seems a bit odd and counterintuitive.
This Mac contact management software has a range of tools that can help you form effective marketing campaigns and consequently boost sales. You can create tasks, projects and to-do lists under the appropriate category. In addition, you can create quick reports within any of the categories. For example, under the finance category, you can generate asset and tax reports or generate salesperson reports under sales. The rich and versatile reporting options within the software exceeds our expectations and allows you to really pinpoint the areas of your sales and marketing that are succeeding and those that need improvement.
Ease of use is an area where Elements CRM truly shines. We love the overall simplicity and polish of the user interface, which is very Mac-esque and mimics the look and feel of other Apple applications. Additionally, the software is highly intuitive and easy to navigate. The left navigation bar on the interface contains all the feature categories, and the right-hand sidebar displays a static calendar and search bar you can use to search the entire system using specific keywords.
A navigation feature we really liked on the CRM for Mac software was the drag-and-drop function. This function allows you to conveniently click, drag and drop a photo or document into the appropriate section or category. Another thing we really like about the software is that it makes exporting all your data easy. So if you ever decide to stop using the software, you can perform a full export in CSV or XML format of all your data at the push of a button.
Elements CRM may lead the pack when it comes to ease of use, but its help and support options disappoint. To obtain direct technical support, users purchase a support plan at $10/month per user. Other CRM for Mac products include technical support in the purchase price.
The website does, however, have product resources including a quick start guide, product manual, administrator manual (detailing the administrative rights of the software) and a tutorial on mail setup through the software. There is also a FAQs section on the site but they are very general questions about what CRM and cloud-computer are; there aren't any specific to the actual product.
Elements CRM is hands-down the best CRM for Mac software in our lineup that is developed exclusively for Mac. Security is strong. It's a feature-rich mid-market solution that offers unequalled integration with Mac OS applications and highly useful sales and marketing tools for entrepreneurs and small businesses. While some users may find the software's paid help and support unappealing, the application itself is so easy to use that you probably won't need the extra one-one-one help.
The application offers supreme integration with Mac OS tools and applications.
Users must purchase support plans in order to receive direct technical support.
The app is ideal for any user seeking full, seamless integration with a Mac.
